RB2 - Visit 7

On Tues 22 July Jerry had another session in rb2 (with help from Andy, Leanne & Sophie-lee).  Early overcast conditions quickly became sunny, as the clouds were "burnt off".  The session ended hot (25 deg) and sunny.  Fortunately there were enough birds to keep everyone occupied, ending on 37 + (11).  The species mix was 

2 Wilwa, 

1 Chiff, 

1 Robin, 

2 + (1) Blaca, 

1 Garwa, 

(1) White, 

24 + (8) Reewa (including three more adults for our proposed RAS), 

1 Sedwa, 

(1) Bluti and 

5 Reebu.  

Without the sun on the nets, captures could have picked up later in the morning, as there were quite a few warblers moving around in the alders.  A hay cut in the rb2 fields has been abandoned this year, and cows have been allowed in, fortunately they didn't take much notice of everyone crossing the fields, and soon moved to the lakeside.
