Jerry had another session in rb2 on 13 July, and with cloud cover forecast, it looked promising, the breezy conditions didn't really cause any problems, as the nets were well sheltered. A reasonable catch of Reewa early on, was followed by the main Sylvia catch later. Another two adult Reewa were recaptured for our RAS. Later in the morning Jeremy arrived to help re-position sections of the "short boardwalk", which had drifted away in the winter floods. The water level has dropped about 150mm in the last few weeks, so everything should be ready for tape luring in August. Jeremy had a word with some campers in the church field, advising them that they ought to pack up, as the farmer would be letting the cows in soon!!
In total, it was the best catch of the year so far, with 47 + (16) - made up of (1) Wren, 28 + (5) Reewa, 1 Sedwa (the first of the year for rb2), 8 + (1) Blaca, 2 + (1) Garwa, (1) White (one of the garden juvs), 1 Chiff, 1 Lotti, 6 + (7) Reebu.
