Three sites in operation

About three years after making the suggestion, on Thurs 30 July, we eventually had all three of our main sites operating on the same morning. Tony was in the garden doing CES 9, while Carlton and Jerry were at the jetty and rb2, respectively, doing RAS visits. Catching at all sites was reasonable (though a bit lower than catches in early/mid month), but grass cutting in the garden undoubtedly reduced the catch there. Totals for the sites were garden - 22 + (9), jetty - 26 + (2) and rb2 - 30 + (14). There were about equal numbers of Reed Warbler at the two reedbed sites (plus a handful in the garden), and the main differences in the catches were the lack of Blackcap at the jetty, but many more Sedge Warbler there. The best sighting of the day was a very fat Hedgehog, near the hut, at 06.00, the first that Jerry has ever seen at the Lake. Two more adult Reed Warbler recaptures were added to the RAS total.
