CES 7 and the Jetty

On Sun 5th June, Carlton, Amy and Gareth ran the CES for a total catch of 51 + (18). A write up of the garden session is to follow.

Jerry was at the Jetty for a quieter session of 37 + (12), though a 20+ flock of Long-tailed and Blue Tits boosted the catch, when they passed through at about 9am. One more Reed Warbler was recaptured for the RAS, but the highlight was another Reed Warbler carrying a Museum Paris ring (6547486).

In addition, broods of Redstart, and Spotted Flycatcher (the first since 2011) were ringed at Cathedine, and in the garden respectively. A heavy rain shower, forecast for 12, arrived right on cue as the CES nets were being taken down.
