On Tues 11 Aug Jerry did a first "taping" session at the jetty, conditions were good and he had a respectable catch of 25 + (2). On Wed, Andy and Jerry were back to a misty start, but this was quickly burnt off by the sun. Although netting conditions were not as good, they had a very similar catch of 29 + (2), probably a result of the tape being set to come on just before dawn. Sedge Warbler outnumbered Reed, and the majority were first year birds.
Wren 3
Robin 2
Willow Warbler 1
Chiffchaff 2
Reed Warbler 17 + (1)
Sedge Warbler 21
Garden Warbler 1
Blackcap 2
Blue Tit 3 + (3)
Treecreeper 1
Reed Bunting 1
The highlight on Wed was two Otters (probably last year's young - as they were not particularly big) fishing about 100m off the jetty mid morning.
