Jetty catch improves

Dodging the wet weather systems that were moving across the country, Jerry (and Andy for early part of the session) were at the jetty on Tues 25th. As with the last couple of visits, catching was slow, but at 08.30 the tape was changed from Aquwa/Sedwa to Blaca/Chiff, and the catching immediately improved, including more Sedge Warbler than before the tape had been changed !!. A few were starting to accumulate fat,
with scores of 30/40 recorded - which is quite good for Llangorse. About 50 House Martin (with some Sand Martin) were over the reeds, and feeding above the trees, but unfortunately, Jerry didn't have the right tape to attract them into the nets. The session ended, just before the next band of rain came through, on 45 + (8).

Willow Warbler 1
Chiffchaff 6 + (1)
