Easyfundraising - Update

Following discussions at the Groups AGM in the spring, research was undertaken by Peter into something called Easyfundraising. It was discovered, as was expected, that this was a way of raising free donations for Llangorse Ringing Group. So in Mid May a couple of emails were sent out explaining the process to group members and encouraging them to join. In case you haven't yet joined the key bits from this this email are below:

How it works is really simple.
With easyfundraising you’ll be able to raise free donations when you shop online, without it costing a single penny extra.
If you're buying something, just remember to visit the retailer (such as Amazon, John Lewis, M&S) via the easyfundraising website once you have registered using the link below.
Once you've ordered, the retailer makes a donation to your chosen good cause. It's a lovely way to give something back for free!
Please join us in raising free donations with easyfundraising. Most sites offer between 1%-5% of the value of your order but some such as Ancestry.co.uk offer 12.5% of the annual fee !  Check the full list on Easyfundraising once you have registered via the link below

After clicking the link setting up an account is really simple
1.  Click on the Green support a good cause box
2.  Type in the search box "Llangorse Ringing Group" then click on the green go button
3.  It will perform a search and Llangorse Ringing Groupo should be first on the list,
     Click on the support this cause box to the right of the name
4.  Next it will ask you to create an account with easyfundraising - really simple , name and Email address and a password for this site .
5. Depending on your browser ( Google chrome seems to be the best) you will be invited to download a donation reminder.

From mid May-mid August some Llangorse Ringing Group members, friends and family of Llangorse ringing group have raised £52.07 pence for the Ringing group which has recently received the first payment into the groups bank account. Not bad going for 3 months, especially considering that as of today, only 13 people have so far registered and raised donations, including at least 4 non members of the group - so plenty more members, friends and family still to sign up. With Christmas to come and more people using it, discussions regarding the dwindling funds of the ringing group at AGMs may become a thing of the past!!
