Jetty, extra garden visit and RB2

After some heavy rain on 13th and 14th Aug, and an overnight shower on 14/15th, Jeremy was at the jetty in the early hours of Sat 15th. He had a modest catch of 25 + (2), which included 7 Reed and 14 Sedge Warblers. At the same time, Andy and Jerry were in the garden (for an "extra" CES visit) where it was quiet, and only 20 + (6) caught. At lunchtime the tape was set in RB2 for the morning, but it was a cold misty start, and no birds moving. Since the last visit to rb2, some cows had investigated the boardwalk, and had managed to snap one of the net poles - so only three nets could be set. The first bird (Reed Warbler) flew into the net at 06.30, the next (Garden Warbler) an hour later, and a further hour passed before a small group of Reed Warbler were caught. Early excitement with a Blackcap (right leg ringed), were soon dispelled when the number was read, one of "ours" recently used in the garden. The session ended on just 13 + (5), and disappointingly, there was no Sedge Warbler in the catch. Species details for the three sessions -
