The odd shower was enough to keep checking the nets more often as and when they blew in but not enough to get wet doing a net round, underfoot it was definitely a wellie day! The grass had grown and plenty of thin branches being wet & heavy were interfering with all nets. The bare minimum was cut back as time allowed but "tis the season of growing" and with this weather the growth will take off. Brambles are not yet a problem but will soon take over if left, so if anyone (trainees) hiding in the background can spend an hour with a secateurs it all helps to keep things running smoothly.
The catch wasn't spectacular but was better than might have been expected given the forecast. It is detailed below:
