More Aquatic sessions (Jetty 12 & 13, RB2 12)

On Mon 18 Aug, Jerry was back at the jetty in mainly good conditions (overcast and calm, though a bit breezy from about 8), and had a catch of 22 + (2). On Wed 20th, he was in rb2 (visit 12), with Andy and Richard Howells. A brief shower just before dawn, made for a very quiet hour or so, before the catch picked up, and ended on 53 + (2). On Fri 22nd, Jerry and Andy were at the jetty, conditions were good after some overnight rain. After a quiet first hour or so, the catch picked up again, to end on 26 + (6). The lack of Reed Warbler recaptures (in all three visits), is a bit unusual, and perhaps suggests that the local birds have mainly left, and the catches now comprise birds moving through, from breeding sites to the north and west?, (as our controls of Sedge Warbler suggest). Species details for the three sessions were - Wren 3 + (1), Robin 1, Redst 2, Dunno 1, Sedwa 28 + (2), Reewa 53 + (6), Garwa 1, Chiff 8, Wilwa 3, Bluti 1 and Lotti (1).
