Another record Redpoll catch

The wind that was forecast had dropped overnight, so on Sat 30th Nov, Jerry tried a variety of tapes at the scrub nets. 

Catching was quiet for a couple of hours, so at 12.00 he decided to start some net repairs.  Starting at the far end, each net held a few birds, but when he rounded the corner to gn4, there were 40 Redpoll in it (itself a day record).  This net round produced 52 birds, and with a handful of Redwing in the late afternoon, the day ended on 64 + (5), made up of

1 Sonth, 

6 Redwi, 

4 Blabi, 

1 + (1) Bluti, 

1 Bullf, 

2 Siski, 

48 + (3) Lesre and 

1 Reebu.  

With 258 birds ringed in November, the YTD total now stands at 2030.
