Recent Recoveries

Z825131, an adult male Lesser Redpoll, was ringed on 3 November 2016, and was controlled at Mockerkin, Cumbria on 30 April 2019 - 908 days, 295 km, 359 degrees. This bird is our 14th Lesser Redpoll Recovery (all since 2012) and is only 1km short of the bird with the greatest movement so far, with D438978 having gone South East to Icklesham as apposed to this bird having gone as good as due north to Cumbria.

DE68408, a third year (age code 7) male Sparrowhawk, was ringed (at the Pennorth feeders) on 30 January 2019, and became a road casualty at Llanfrynach, Brecon on 2 April 2019 - 92 days, 5 km, 270 degrees. This is only our 4th Sparrowhawk recovery, and has the greatest movement.
