Blackcap taping starts, and another Canada Goose recovery.
Our Blackcap taping sessions got off to a slow start, with just three visits in the first half of September. Jeremy on 5th, Jerry on 13th and again on 15th. The catches were 19 + (3), 14 + (2) and 24 + (4) respectively. On the 13th - autumn had definitely arrived with a misty/3.5 C, start, while on the 15th, the majority of the catch was from the final three net rounds. The summary details were Wren 1, Dunnock 4, Robin 5 + (1), Blackbird (1), Chiffchaff 13 + (2), Blackcap 22, Goldcrest 2, Blue Tit 2 + (2), Great Tit 5 + (2), Nuthatch 1, Goldfinch 1, Bullfinch (1) and Reed Bunting 1.
