5233825, an adult, was ringed at the Lake on 25 June 2017, and was found freshly dead (floating in the river), on 4 August 2018, at Hay on Wye, Powys - 405 days, 19 km, 29 degrees.

Two more Canada Geese recoveries
5199420, an adult female, was ringed at the Lake on 5 July 1998, and the ring was found (with a metal detector) on 9 August 2018, at Letton, Herefordshire - 7340 days, 51 km, 29 degrees. The dates exceed the Group's longevity record for a Canada Goose, but there is no way of knowing when the bird actually died. Letton is an area where we have previously had several recoveries of birds that have been shot.
