The month ended with Andy trying the Pennorth feeders on Wednesday 29th. The catch of 22 + (8) was very "tit orientated" and comprised -
Great Spotted Woodpecker (2), Coal Tit 2 + (1), Blue Tit 15 + (2), Great Tit 4 + (1), Nuthatch (1) and House Sparrow 1 + (1).
On Thurs Jerry was cutting along fencelines adjacent 4 & 5, so only put up nets 6 & 7 (with Redpoll tapes), but only caught (1) Robin and (1) Goldcrest.
During November, we ringed 231 birds, bringing our YTD to 2748.
Canada Goose 5275808 was ringed on 26 June 2016, and was shot (within about a week) on 26 November 2017 at Frodsham Marsh, Cheshire. 518 days, 158 km, 13 degrees.
Canada Goose 5233954 was ringed on 25 june 2017, and was shot (within about a week) for crop protection on 16 November 2017 Nr Raglan, Monmouthshire. 144 days, 31 kn, 116 degrees.
Reed Warbler S931826 was ringed on 24 August 2017 (rb2), and was controlled on 30 September 2017 at Chew Valley Lake, Bath & NE Somerset. 37 days, 80 km, 147 degrees.
