First Blackap Sessions

On Tues 2 Sept, Jerry was in the garden for the first Blackcap (and Chiffchaff) tape session of the season, and had a catch of 23 + (9). He was back the following morning, with Leanne, for a better catch of 37 + (6) - the tapes were playing before first light, so the catch included more of the "target species". The highlight of the first day was an adult Whitethroat, and on the second a 1st year Lesser Whitethroat. The species mix for the two sessions was Wren 1 + (2), Chiff 12 + (3), Goldc 1, Lotti 1, Dunno 2 + (1), Robin 1 + (1), Reewa 1, Blaca 32 + (2), White 1, Leswh 1, Bluti 2 + (1), Greti 1 and Bullf 4 + (5).
