Recent Recoveries

The high water level has prevented any ringing at the feeders, so far this month, but a few recoveries were received yesterday from our efforts last year:

V304387  Pied Flycatcher ringed as pullus at Coed Dias, Gwent (GMA's nest box colony) 12/06/10, controlled breeding at Cathedine 11/06/13 - 1095 days, 14 km

X790519  Reed Warbler ringed as 3J at the jetty 27/07/11, controlled breeding female at Chelmarsh Res, Shropshire 30/06/13 - 704 days, 87 km (also caught 07/07 and 14/07)

Y347014  Reed Warbler ringed as 3J in rb2 10/08/12, controlled as male Llandegfedd Res, Gwent on 24/07/13 - 348 days, 32 km

Y347163  Goldfinch ringed as 3F in the garden 24/10/12, died when hit window in Co Cartlow, Ireland on 19/01/14 - 452 days, 259 km
