Canada Goose recoveries, and another permit upgrade in LRGp.

5233931 was ringed on 25 June 2017, and was shot at Frodsham, Cheshire on 1 November - 1225 days, 156 km, 13 degrees.

5287854 was ringed on 30 June 2019, and was shot at Arlington, Gloucestershire on 27 October - 485 days, 59 km, 107 degrees.

Chris Wells has read rings on a further 18 Canada Geese, at Brockhall Quarry (previous report here and here), between 6 and 15 September (a few of which he had also seen there in the August). They were originally ringed in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 (3), 2017 (5) 2018 (4) and 2019 (3). He also saw Greylag 5234000 again.

Congratulations to Rachel, who, in early November, received confirmation that her application for upgrade to a C licence had been successful. When she first started ringing, with us, early in 2019, she was already quite experienced from her volunteering with overseas ringing projects. As well as ringing at the Lake, she has also helped with Uskmouth and Gower R Gps, so has been getting plenty of useful experience.
