In 2018, Andy, Carlton, Jerry and Ron helped out at this ringing site on the Ebro delta, NE Spain (see blog here). The Report for 2018 has just been produced (link here 2018 Canal Vell Report ), and may be of interest to other members who want to broaden their experience of southern European species. Daily ringing is standardised (as CES), without the use of tapes, and although day catches are quite modest (on a par with those at the Lake), its a good introduction to continental ringing, and the local birding is excellent. Compared to other ringing stations, accommodation is 5 star. If anyone is interested in finding out more, the best contact would be Carlton.
