Canada Goose breeding at Newport Wetlands

A female Canada Goose 5275980 is breeding at NWR (currently with five goslings). She was ringed at Llangorse on 26 June 2016, re-caught there on 25 June 2017, but not caught at the 2018 roundup. We have had a few other recoveries along the Usk valley in recent years. Report and photo from Lee Gregory.

We don't get many breeding records of Canada Goose.

Also of interest is that Reed Warbler Z051393, which we blogged about here, has subsequently been caught again on the 22/05 and 28/05 at the same site.
