A good variety of recent Recoveries

Two Canada Geese - 5284580 was ringed on 24 June 2018, and was found "probably shot, and then dismembered by fox or badger", on 18 May 2019, at Lower Chapel, Brecon - 328 days, 13 km, 306 degrees. Moving a bit further (and surviving longer), 5266088 was ringed (gosling) on 3 July 2011. It was shot at Talsarnau, Gwynedd, on 17 December 2018 - 2724
days, 121 km, 334 degrees.

Blackcap ANA8959 was ringed (young male) at Lancing, West Sussex on 20 September 2017. We caught him (twice) in the garden area in June 2018,
so presumably breeding. He obviously liked the habitat and has returned this year, caught during CES visits on 5 May & 9 June - 627 days (to 9/6), 238 km, 301 degrees.

Reed Warbler Z051393 was ringed in rb2 (youngster) on 8 August 2015, and was caught at Brockholes Quarry, Lancashire, on 19 May 2019 - 1380 days, 210 km, 12 degrees. This bird was also caught at the same site on the 18th May in 2018.

Pied Flycatcher Z105457 was ringed (nestling) on 7 June 2015 at Llysdinam, Newbridge, Powys, and was caught on the CES visit on 5 May 2019. She was also caught breeding in one of our nest boxes on the 23rd of May.  - 1446 days, 35 km, 157 degrees.

Great Tit VZ94061 was ringed in the shelterbelt (nestling) on 18 May 2017, and was found (freshly dead) on 27 April 2019, at Neuadd Farm - 709 days, 2 km, 181 degrees.

Siskin S196757 was ringed (adult female) on 8 April 2017 at Peebles, Scottish Borders, she was caught at the garden feeders on 21 March - 712 days, 413 km 181 degrees. The catch on 21 March had a new day record for Siskin - 26 + (2). Siskin that had presumably wintered in the area staring to return north to their breeding grounds.
