Two more Canada Goose recoveries

5266148 was ringed on 30 June 2013, and its ring was read at Bryn Bach Park, Tredegar, on 18 April 2019 - 2118 days, 19 km, 184 degrees - This record is very interesting. This bird has not been reported or re-caught by us despite this record appearing to suggest it is a "local" bird. In recent years numbers of Cango have built at Bryn Bach Park and the birds are seemingly present all year round, indicating that perhaps a moulting flock has established at this site as well now.

5199458 was ringed on 5 July 1998, and was found sick (and destroyed) at Slimbridge, Glos (single cause of sickness not known), on 30 April 2000 - 665 days, 62 km, 110 degrees. The time taken for the notification, may be due to recent data management by Slimbridge.
