Friday 13th July - RAS visits to rb2/jetty

The forecast was good, calm with cloud cover - which managed to delay the sun coming out until about 9am. Jerry was in rb2 (accompanied by a lot of mozzies) for a very respectable 41 + (11), mainly Reed Warblers, but with a double figure catch of Reed Bunting (in the first hour), and the first Sedge Warbler of the year (for this site). Andy was not so "lucky" at the jetty (maybe the date?), and caught just 8 + (4), but with another couple of Reed Warbler for the RAS. While putting the kit away at Ty Mawr, a brood of Swallow also ringed. The day details were - Wren 3, Robin 1, Dunnock 1, Willow Warbler 1, Chiffchaff 3, Blackcap 1 + (1), Sedge Warbler 1, Reed Warbler 23 + (10), Swallow 4p, Blue Tit 2 + (2), Treecreeper 1, Reed Bunting 12 + (2).
