Recent recoveries of Siskin and Coal Tit

Siskin Z050854 was ringed as an adult male on 17/09/15, and was caught on 29/04/16 at Clochan, Moray - 225 days, 634 km, 2 degrees.  

Not a particularly unusual movement, as we have previously had Siskin recoveries to/from Scotland, but the movement of Coal Tit Z050799 was completely unexpected - ringed as a juvenile on 29/08/15, it was killed by a cat on 27/06/16 at Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire - 272 days, 146 km, 49 degrees. This record was checked by the BTO Recoveries Team as the movement was so unusual.
