A Good Catch followed by a Poor One

On Friday 23 Oct, Jerry had a morning visit, and had caught about 25 birds, including 10 Lesser Redpoll, by the time he had to leave, with Jeremy taking over for the late afternoon/roost. The session ended on a useful 32 + (21), including a Song Thrush and 7 Redwing at the roost. He also caught a "problematic" Blackbird, which, in the poor light looked black, but on closer examination it had some brownish tones to the contour feathers. It had been ringed, as an adult female, in May 2011. On Sunday, Andy and Jerry had a disappointing 9 + (2).
