2014 CES 5 and RB2 1

For the first time this year two sites were operating at the lake yesterday (17/06/14). Sadly the wonderful weather meant the nets were visable in the sun and moving in the breeze.

I undertook CES 5 in the garden and had one of my quietest ever sessions, nothing particularly special, and my final net round, as i was taking down the nets produced 9 birds which more than doubled my day total to that point of 7!

The first session in rb2 also saw a small catch, there were a handful of juv Blaca, and Bluti (ringed in a nearby box) but no Reewa (presumably not yet out of the nest). Two ringed Reewa were from 2010 and 2012, and made a good start to our new RAS project. The Cetwa was originally ringed in 2011.

CES total was 9 + (7), RB2 total was 14 + (7), so a very quiet day!
