Canada Goose returns to the Lake

The posting on 22 September 2013 gave details of Canada Goose 5266069,
one of the youngsters from our 2011 roundup that was caught at Lake
Windermere, Cumbria in July 2013, when it had red colour ring AAKC
added.  The RSPCA Ringing Group is looking at dispersal of Canada Geese
which moult on Windermere, and this bird, and a second with red colour
ring AAJP (this one ringed at Lake Windermere) have been sighted at
Llangorse on 22 Nov by Mark Waldron.  These interchanges indicate that
the Canadas are worthy of better scrutiny.  

Another Llangorse bird (5246774 ringed in 2008) had dark blue colour ring 62N  added when caught at
Attenborough Nature Reserve, Nottingham in Jan 2011 (it had already had
its metal read there in Nov 2010), and has subsequently been re-sighted
at Wellington Gravel Pits, Hereford in Aug 2012.
