CES 4

George and Ron had a pleasant day on 9th June for CES4, but the catch was a bit on the low side, just 9 + (12), made up of 

Dunno 2 + (3);

Robin 1 + (1);

Redst (1);

Blabi (2);

Chiff 6 +(1) - mainly a brood of recent fledglings;

Blaca (1);

Bluti (2);

Bullf (1);

Checks of the nest boxes were more successful with Bluti (21p) and Greti (32p) having a much more successful year than last year.  A brood of 6p Redst, and a Wren fledgling (which found its way into the hut) made for a day total of 69 + (12).

Jerry visited on 11th to complete checks of the Cathedine boxes, of the five Piefl nests previously recorded there, two had failed, one brood was too young and two broods (9p) were ringed.  Two adults were caught, one unringed, the other a control.  Together with broods of Greti (8p) and Bluti (9p), the day total was 27 + (1).
