Canada Geese still producing records -
5257895 was ringed as a juvenile at our roundup on 03 July 2011, and had its ring read at Caerphilly Castle (yet again at what now seems to be its regular site) on 11 February 2025 - 39 km, 177 degrees. 4972 days.
5275869 was ringed as an adult on 26 June 2016, and its ring was found at Bodenham, Herefordshire on 18 March 2025 - 45 km. 58 degrees. 3187 days.
Now a species that does not feature regularly in these reports, we don't even have a recoveries map for it yet.
Bullfinch BXA1281 was ringed as a young female (scrub site) on 31 October 2024, and was caught by the Teifi R Gp on 28 April 2025 - 55 km. 294 degrees. 128 days
Finally a nice resident Warbler movement!
Cettis Warbler BDE0208 was ringed as a young female at one of our reedbed sites on 09 September 2024 and was then caught by Stanford Rg at Stanford Reservior in Northamptonshire on the 28 April 2025. The same day as the Bullfinch above. This is similar to our previous records of (presumed) juvenille dispersal for a Cettis Warbler ringed at the lake - which can be seen on our recovery maps (accessed on the side of this blog). 157kms, 70 degrees, 231 days.
