Canada Goose 5233892 was ringed (adult male) on 25 June 2017, and was shot at Bannockburn, Stirling, Scotland on 11 October 2021 - 1569 days, 464 km, 355 degrees, this bird had previously had its ring read at Brockhall Quarry, Stretton Sugwas, Herefordshire on 5 October 2018

Canada Goose 5284525 was ringed (adult) on 24 June 2018, and was shot at Weobley, Herefordshire on 8 October 2021 - 1202 days, 36 km, 48 degrees

Reed Warbler AKR0891 was ringed (first year) on 20 August 2021 in rb2, and was caught at Wilstone Res, Nr Tring, Hertfordshire on 12 September 2021 - 23 days, 176 km, 95 degrees

We had a good summer with several species caught at the Lake that had been ringed elsewhere -

Sand Martin (ESI) RV8274 was ringed (first year) on 8 September 2020 at Traibuenas, Murillo el Cuede, Navarra, Spain, and was caught during a roost at the jetty on 4 August 2021 - 330 days, 1075 km, 354 degrees

Sand Martin ATJ7688 was ringed (pullus) on 20 May 2021 at Lax-Hill, Rutland, and was caught during a roost at the jetty on 29 June - 40 days, 192 km, 246 degrees

Chiffchaff JEK393 was ringed (first year) on 30 September 2020 at Bonhurst Farm, Surrey, and was caught in rb2 on 13 August 2021 - 317 days, 205 km, 295 degrees

Reed Warbler ATD7041 was ringed (first year) on 27 August 2020 at Squire's Down Dorset, and was caught in rb2 on 10 August 2021 - 348 days, 123 km, 330 degrees

Reed Warbler AVR4132 was ringed (juvenile) on 31 July 2021 at Cleveland Farm, Wiltshire, and was caught in rb2 on 27 August - 27 days, 98 km, 289 degrees

Pied Flycatcher Y996901 was ringed (pullus) on 30 May 2017 at Bryn, Longtown, Herefordshire, and was caught at our Cwm Sorgwm colony on 9 June 2021 - 1471 days, 17 km, 264 degrees

Goldfinch (FRP) 9608758 was ringed (adult) on 7 February 2021 at Plaine d'Azenne, Clery-Saint-Andre, Loiret, France, and was caught during a CES visit on 2 May - 84 days, 580 km, 322 degrees

We are waiting for details of two more French ringed birds - a Sedge Warbler caught this year and a Reed Warbler that we caught in 2019.
