Recent recoveries

We've had a decent run of birds ringed elsewhere that we've caught at the Lake (and will be submitting them soon), but in the meantime a few of our birds seen/caught elsewhere -

Canada Goose 5287783 was ringed (gosling) at the Lake on 30 June 2019, and was shot locally on 1 August 2021 - 763 days

Great-spotted Woodpecker LK11108 was ringed (adult female) on CES 1 on 2 May 2021, and was photographed (Mark Waldron) near Llangasty church on 15 May 2021 - 13 days

Garden Warbler AKR0183 was ringed (juvenile) on 16 July 2021 at the jetty, and was controlled at Thorpe Marsh, S Yorkshire on 16 August 2021 - 31 days, 234 km, 39 degrees

Reed Warbler AJD3526 was ringed (juvenile) on 13 July 2019 in RB2, and controlled at Titchfield Haven NNR, Hampshire on 3 August 2021 - 752 days, 187 km, 132 degrees

Sedge Warbler AKR0450 was ringed (young bird) on 5 August 2021 at the jetty, and was controlled at Réserve du Massereau, Frossay, Loire-Atlantique, France on 20 August 2021 - 15 days, 528 km, 170 degrees

Sedge Warbler AKR1066 was ringed (young bird) on 13 August 2021 at the jetty, and was controlled at Réserve du Massereau, Frossay, Loire-Atlantique, France on 26 August 2021 - 13 days, 528 km, 170 degrees
