The body of Canada Goose 5233829 was found by Alan J, whilst waiting for the geese to be brought ashore (on the 30 June annual roundup). It had been ringed on 25 June 2017 (also caught at the 2018 roundup) - 735 days. The body was very smelly (so probably dead about a month or so) and it looked like a scavenger had also found it.
Reed Warbler X290012 was ringed (as an adult) in rb2 on 1 August 2010, and sexed by us (female) in 2011. She was caught on spring passage at Herdade dos Forninhos, Beja, Portugal on 7 April 2017 (taken a while for the information to reach us/be reported) - 2441 days, 1634 km, 196 degrees. Our current Reed Warbler longevity record is just short of 9 years. This Reed Warbler is the 3rd from the group to be caught in Portugal, with the previous two being controlled in 1978 and 1979!!!
