RAS summary

Tony has now submitted our Reed Warbler RAS data, and the summaries of catches are listed below -

Notes. The figures relate to the total number of captures, which include multiple captures of some individuals. Our effort (number of visits/hours) has been fairly consistent over the years, though in 2014, our RAS period ran to the end of 31 August (hence the high young bird total). Because of the likelihood of passage birds being caught in August, since 2015 our RAS period finishes on 31 July. The good (2017) and poor (2016) breeding seasons are clearly shown in the young bird totals. We are expecting the BTO team to send us our "survival chart" this winter, and will post it when received.
